Aussie mum of five finds AUSSIEST thing in her bed

Tell me you live in Australia without telling me you live in Australia...

Mum Briellen will go first!

This week, the Aussie mum of three posted a clip to TikTok, detailing a story of how she found something in her bed, in the middle of the night... that only other Aussies will totally get.

"The kids were stoked"

"If you're not from Australia, this can only happen in Australia," Briellen calmly begins, and we adore her already because she's talking as she's breastfeeding.

"I co-sleep with my kids and my fiancée, so that's four of us in the bed, and one in a cot with the side down, pressed up against the bed.

"Last night it was raining, so I can only imagine this little creature was looking for a warm and cosy place to sleep."

The "little creature" she's talking about? A. PYTHON.

Briellen explains that she woke up at 4am to the feeling of something cold slithering along her leg, and she knew immediately what it was.

"I had the baby on me, and my two toddlers on either side, and I knew, in an instant, I had a snake in my bed."

She insisted her fiancée turn on the light, she stripped the cover back and... there was a python, about a metre and a half long.

"I've taught my kids to not be afraid of snakes, so they didn't touch it, but they were stoked that there was a snake in their bed.

"We weren't so stoked. But we were calm."

As Briellen watched the kids, Nick, her fiancée, guided Mr P (using a pillow) out the same way he came in.

The mum adds at the end of the clip that they didn't much sleep after that, and she sprinkled a good dose of peppermint essential oil around the house as a deterrent in the morning.

"Let's hope tonight we have no visitors."

"All I heard was never visit Australia"

The almost two million viewers were astounded by Briellen's story.

"I forgot to breathe while listening to this, I have shivers running through my body," one said.

"All I heard was never visit Australia and I’m ok with that," added another.

"Australia? Not for me, y’all stay safe though," joked a third.

Many were grateful not to have the same risk in cooler areas.

"Most of the time I hate living in Melbourne. Then I remember pythons don’t come into our beds here and I’m ok," commented one woman.

Then of course there were suggestions of what to do, with this person writing, "I would’ve said sorry to the snake for sleeping in its bed and move house."

Others also made relationship references like, "I also had a snake in my bed for 17 years until I kicked him out."

But the most common comment was something like this: "I would have died/had a heart attack/moved house/never slept again."
