With so many options for Olympic viewing, here are a few outside the home that come with tasty treats that warrant a podium position.
Tumbalong Park
After the rave reviews of last year’s World Cup live site and now with the addition of
the Sound Shell, Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour has become a hotspot for community events.
It’s the perfect place to gather with other Sydneysiders bonded by a love of sports.
From now until Sunday, August 11, enjoy games, sports activations, and entertainment.
Of course, the highlight is the two jumbo screens showing all the daily Olympic action from noon to 11pm.
Food-wise, you’re covered with plenty of eateries around Darling Harbour.
Sit down at one of the many restaurants, pick up some takeaway or indulge in a treat from food trucks like Waffle Popz.
Plus, when we win gold, the first 50 visitors the next day get a voucher for local retailers.

Bankstown Sports Club
True to its name, Bankstown Sports Club is the southwest’s destination for live sports, and now it is upping the game by partnering with the Australian Olympic Committee to bring you 24-hour Olympic coverage.
If cheering for the green and gold works up an appetite, you can satisfy your cravings with delicious French-inspired snacks like crepes and fondue fries at the club’s restaurants.
The games will be shown throughout the venue.
Catch the action and unwind in the Rainforest Lounge, or if you’re in the mood for something more energetic, head to the Basement Brewhouse for a lively atmosphere.

Barangaroo
Olympic fever has hit Barangaroo, and Winghaus is ready with some red-hot deals to
go along with their all-day games coverage.
Try the Aussie Gold Burger for $24 — an Angus beef burger loaded with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onions, pickles, mustard, and secret sauce – until September 9.
Venture waterside where Japanese restaurant Zushi is joining in with the Aussie Roll: chicken
karaage, avocado, green-and-gold crunch, honey mayo, and sweet soy for $24 until August 11.
If the steady showcase of Parisian sights has you craving French food, head to Bottega Coco for their Olympic special of tender filet mignon and a sweet Paris-Brest dessert, available until August 11.

Coogee Bay Hotel
With its beachside location, good food, and great drinks, Coogee Bay Hotel has long
been a fave for locals and visitors alike, particularly when you snag a table in the
spacious garden.
But through to August 11, it gets even better with live Olympic broadcasts in the Sports Bar, major events on the big screens in The Garden, and activations throughout the venue.
Enjoy food and drink specials, and to keep warm during the chilly weather, sip on a glass of mulled wine or share a carafe while cheering on our amazing athletes.

Local pubs
One of your best bets for Olympic action, a meal and a cold one, is your local pub.
And when you find yourself immersed in sports you didn’t even know existed (after all, isn’t that one of the best parts of the Olympics?) a tasty feed tops basic every time.
Try Forrester’s in Surry Hills for their Big Yorkie; Taphouse in Darlinghurst, which has $12 pork chops on Wednesdays; The Marsden Brewhouse for craft beers, elevated pub classics and wood-fired pizza; or the northern beaches’ home of live sport, The Park House.
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie … pub, pub, pub!
