Fans think they know why Bluey’s house is for sale and it’s the best theory yet!

If this is true... OMG OMG OMG!

28 minute Bluey episode trailer

Be nice to Bluey fans - they're struggling to come to terms with the recent news of the iconic Heeler house is up for sale.

As spotted in the latest episode 'Ghostbasket', a "For Sale" sign is seen propped up at the front of Bluey's family home in Brisbane. No explanation. Just a sign and our wild imagination about what is to come of the 28-minute-long episode dropping on April 14th.

Why is Bluey's home up for sale?

The end scene left fans theorising what this meant for the future of our favourite Aussie animation.

According to one megafan, there's definitely more to the story here.

"Something doesn't quite add up," @blueypod says insists in an Instagram video.

According to the fan, the pond that Bandit had installed in their backyard for Chilli is the first clue that selling the house “doesn’t make any sense”.

The pond hints that the Heelers were always planning on staying there long term or else they wouldn’t invest in the pond installation.

"So what’s changed?" he asks.

Another clue that something major was up can be found in the episode 'Stickbird', where Bandit is clearly bothered by something.

“What’s on his mind? Who has he crossed? Who’s out to get him?” he queries again.

The fan continues with his thoughts about something more "sinister" happening because in a trailer for 'The Sign', the extended 28-minute episode, we see Chilli being “chased” by the police.

Is this the proof some fans needed to finally confirm Chilli and Bandit are in trouble with the law?

It's highly unlikely but some fans have gone on a wild quest trying to find the reason why the home is for sale and what it means for the future of Bluey - and we're so here for one of them in particular.

Fans are convinced Chilli is pregnant

The Instagram video was flooded with people sharing their thoughts and one idea that kept popping up was that Bluey and Bingo were going to be big sisters!

Yes, many fans are convinced Chilli is pregnant and the reason for the home being up for sale is because they need more space to accommodate another little family member.

"I think Chilli's pregnant! 🤷🏽‍♀️" one person commented on the post.

"There is a literal episode where Bandit is talking to another dad about Chilli wanting another baby... she's definitely pregnant," another added.

"Chilli's have another baby and they need a bigger house," echoed another.

One eagle-eyed fan is sure she also spotted some clues in season three - including a growing belly on the Heeler mum.

"I think so too and the episode when they went to the beach she was anxious unable to relax and with what appears to be a bump," they shared.

And another fan agreed: "I think Chilli is pregnant. Chilli said in the beginning of this episode ('Ghostbasket') when he's playing about selling the house that 'it appears too small now'... also explains why Bandit is nervous (in 'Stickbird') and Chilli can't relax (in 'Relax').

True or not, this is our favourite fan theory yet. And then came the theories about the Heelers trying for a boy.

"Chilli is pregnant. They need the extra space. The show wants to introduce a boy for a larger audience," a fan shared.

"I hope it’s a boy then Bluey will really be like our family," another added.

More fans share their wild theories

Meanwhile, other fans were convinced selling the house was not something that Bandit and Chilli necessarily wanted to do.

"They split up," one fan offered, which we will obviously ignore!

Others said the sale might be because Bandit changes jobs, which forces them to move.

"I reckon Bandit has got a job offer somewhere else and they have to move," someone shared.

"Given the success in the US maybe they have to move to the US? I hope not. But who knows..."

Nope, ignoring that one too!

It's the end of an era

Whatever happens, seeing the Bandit, Chilli, Bluey and Bingo move out of their iconic home marks the end of an era for the animated series.

"It’s the end of Bluey as we know it. The kid voice actors are getting older and voices are changing, so it’s going to transition to new main characters," one sad fan pointed out.

With all the theories being thrown around, one thing is clear: 'The Sign' can't air fast enough!
