Wackadoo- A new episode!

On Sunday morning, fans were treated to not only a new episode titled “Ghostbasket” but also the return of everyone’s favourite Grannys, Janet and Rita.

“What was that dear?”

You remember Bluey and Bingo's elderly alter egos!

Not only did we get to giggle at the senior’s antics, but we were also made aware of a major change for Bluey’s family as they plan on moving out of their family home—oh no!

“Are you the house-selling person?”

The episode sees the entire Heeler family playing a game in which Bandit, the real estate agent (or, as Chili describes, the house-selling person), tries to woo Chili into buying the Heeler home.

However, “homeowners” Janet and Rita have other plans and do their best to deter the potential buyer with all the tricks they have under their shawls.

The haunted basket

The creative pair decide to devise a chilling tale about the house being inhabited by a ghostly laundry basket, aiming to deter potential buyers with fear.

However, in the episode's final moments, it's revealed that this elaborate ruse was a means for Bandit and Chili to help Bluey and Bingo adjust to an impending major change.

Bandit hints to the girls that they can't rely on playing such games every time someone views the house.

The scene closes with their home and the addition of a "for sale" sign.

This significant transition arrives at a pivotal moment for the Heelers of Bluey.

Bye for now?

The series is gearing up for its first over 20-minute episode, "The Sign," which will air on Sunday 14 April at 8am on ABC Kids and ABC iview.

Following this episode, the series will go on hiatus for an unspecified duration.

Post-"The Sign," Bluey will take a hiatus to allow the creative team at Ludo Studio to recharge after years of intense work.

But don’t stress. The studio has assured fans that the series is not being cancelled. They just need a little time to rejuvenate before continuing production—perhaps a break at the beach with recliner chairs, we hope!

Since its premiere in 2018, the Heeler family has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide, with Bluey becoming a household favourite.

“I'm  not ok”

The internet erupted with devastated fans across the world taking to Facebook to mourn the upcoming change to the Heeler family.

"I’m going to need counselling! Wasn’t prepared for that ending" wrote one user.

"Here I was enjoying an episode with the grannies and then all of a sudden instant HEARTBREAK" added another.

"Definitely need some time to process this one, I’m not coping and I’m crying" said another.

Looking to buy?

The house even has its very own listing on Domain (yep, there's a real listing), and the Facebook post has some very funny comments.

"Hope this makes the cover of Domain Magazine" joked one.

"Could I have a price guide, please? thank you," asked another.

And several even mentioned they called the number on the listing and were directed to the voicemail of the selling agent, Bucky Dunstan!

Pass the tissues!

Whatever the team have in store for Bluey’s return after their final whopper episode, ‘The Sign’ (perhaps we now know it will focus on the “for Sale Sign’?), we know it will have us reaching for the tissue boxes for real life.

And I guess, yeah, the kids will love it, too!
