Battle to save trees

HE WAS woken by the sound of chainsaws ripping through a tree in Pennant Hills last week, sparking the battle for trees across the Hornsby Shire.

Stitching stories of hope

18-year-old Loreto Normanhurst student Kyah Kraszula is preparing to donate her major project, a work-of-art eight months in the making, to be auctioned off at the Jeans for Genes Denim Dinner Gala Ball.

Ruddock’s green dream for Hornsby

HORNSBY Mayor Philip Ruddock is determined to “bring the bush back to the shire” with an ambitious plan, supported by councillors, to plant 25,000 trees by September 2020.
