Sheltering From The Starlight “Sheltering From The Starlight”Ian InverarityImage Detail: A self-portrait under a large gum tree in Price Creek north of Hawker, SA. This creek contains many old gum trees with a lot of character! This is a two shot vertical panorama. In addition to 32% Moonlight on the landscape, and the small torch I am holding, there are 3 external flash units for extra lighting. Citation: What a wonderful balance between the night sky & such an iconic and majestic tree in a unique Australian outback landscape. The balance created with the human lighting up the detail of the age in the trunk and outer branches helps create an extra dimension to the image while also giving scale to the overall scene. A cracking picture.
