From cars to comedy, these NSW social media stars have turned their passion into a well-paid job by monetising their social media posts.

Using the social media salary calculators created by Influencer Marketing Hub, we’ve estimated the earnings of the top social media stars in NSW across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. While the estimates can vary, provide valuable insight into the approximate salary these high-profile stars bring in.

It should be noted this is only the estimated earnings social media stars make from sponsored content, and doesn’t include other revenue such as fan donations or YouTube’s payment for a cut of the streaming views. Many of these influencers have their own merchandise lines or deals with relevant retailers, so their estimated earnings would be even higher.

This list does not include celebrity influencers but mere mortals who have turned fun into funds on social media.

These are the highest earning social media influencers in NSW.

One of the highest earning social media influencers in NSW is a Sydney-based singer who rose to fame through TikTok.

Shaylee Curnow, better known to her legions of fans as Peach PRC, turned her popularity on TikTok into a pop career after she attracted a large audience with her original songs about her relationships and mental health issues. Peach PRC has 1.5 million followers on TikTok and receives an average of 31,900 likes on each video. According to estimates, Ms Curnow earns between $900 and $1501 for her videos on TikTok.

Her pink-saturated Instagram posts have accrued a fanbase of 198,685 followers who appreciate her music updates and selfies. With an average of 15,695 likes on each post, Ms Curnow is estimated to make between $597 and $996 per post on Instagram.

Despite making a name for herself in shorter videos, Peach PRC has a 96,600-strong fanbase on YouTube. She is predicted to make $1154 per video on the platform.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, Peach PRC would earn a minimum of $2651.

Two tradies from Kiama have quickly acquired a following of millions for their hilarious social media comedy skits and smooth dance moves.

Matt Ford and Jack Steele found influencer fame on Instagram where they’ve amassed 1.2 million followers keen to keep up with their quintessentially Australian comedy.

Under the name The Inspired Unemployed, their posts receive an average of 120,444 likes which lead to major collaborations with high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton and Fendi. According to estimates, Mr Ford and Mr Steele make between $2421 and $4036 per post on Instagram.

Unsurprisingly, the fluid dance moves and comedy sketches of The Inspired Unemployed have a strong following on TikTok, with 874,600 followers. Their videos have an average of 33,950 likes on each video and the pair are estimated to earn between $523 and $872 per video.

The longer videos on The Inspired Unemployed YouTube channel have garnered 59,600 loyal subscribers. The income from each video is estimated to be $147.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, The Inspired Unemployed would make a minimum of $3091.

8. Zachery Dereniowski

A former medical student turned social media influencer uses his hefty fanbase to spread motivational messages and raise mental health awareness.

Zachery Dereniowski, known as MDMotivator, has 2.3 million followers on TikTok who get joy from hearing his motivational take on life. His posts address a lot of mental health topics in a relatable way and they receive an average of 43,400 likes per post. It is estimated Mr Dereniowski earns between $1380 and $2301 for each post on TikTok.

His longer videos on YouTube have acquired 46,400 subscribers on his MDMotivator channel, where he makes an estimated $810 per video.

On Instagram, Mr Dereniowski has a strong fanbase of 358,000 followers who appreciate his uplifting content with an average of 11,479 likes per post. According to estimates, he earns between $1071 and $1785 for each Instagram post.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, MDMotivator would make a minimum of $3261.

7. Balir Joscelyne and Martin Mulholland

Car enthusiasts have united in droves behind two of the state’s biggest automotive YouTubers, who have been demonstrating do-it-yourself fixes and modifications on YouTube since 2008.

Sydney friends Balir Joscelyne (known as Moog) and Martin Mulholland are the brains behind Mighty Car Mods, a beloved YouTube channel with a sizeable fanbase of 3.56 million subscribers. Their videos are celebrated by fans as genuine and funny as the two men showcase how to buy, build, break, and test cars.

Their videos have an average of 25,080 engagements on YouTube and the pair are estimated to make between $1700 and $2833 per video.

In keeping with their name, the Mighty Car Mods Instagram features consistent car-related content peppered with some photos of goats. The account has 569,000 followers and averages 13,030 likes per post. According to estimates, Mr Joscelyne and Mr Mulholland earn between $1700 and $2833 for each post.

In comparison, the fanbase for Mighty Car Mods on TikTok is fairly small, with 12,200 followers. Mr Joscelyne and Mr Mulholland are estimated to earn between $7 and $12 per post on the platform.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, Mighty Car Mods would make a minimum of $3396.

6. Sarah Tilse

Estimated earnings: at least $3582 per post across all three platforms

One of the state’s highest earning social media influencers is a Sydney woman who styles herself as “YouTube’s holistic health princess”.

Sarah Tilse is the creator of Sarah’s Day, a holistic health and fitness personal brand which has attracted a following of millions across social media. Sarah’s Day started as a YouTube channel in 2013 and Ms Tilse still refers to herself as a YouTuber.

Sarah’s Day has 1.54 million subscribers with an average of 20,340 engagements per video. It is estimated Ms Tilse makes $1327 from each video.

The Instagram fanbase is not too far behind, with 1.2 million followers and an average of 79,196 likes for her enviable lifestyle and fitness photos. According to estimates, Ms Tilse earns between $2449 and $4082 per post on Instagram.

Sarah’s Day has a TikTok following of 103,100 fans and an average of 12,500 likes per post. The earnings from the platform are predicted to be comparatively less at between $76 and $126.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, Sarah’s Day would make a minimum of $3582.

Estimated earnings: at least $3886 per post across all three platforms

A Newcastle teen has made a name for herself in the social media world with her comedic takes on life and trends interspersed with beauty tips.

Rory Eliza, who uses her first and middle name professionally, has 5.3 million followers on TikTok. Her fanbase follows her content enthusiastically with an average of 18,050 likes per video. The teen is estimated to make between $3180 and $5300 per video on the popular platform.

Ms Eliza also has more than 165,000 followers on Instagram, who enjoy the focus on beauty and lifestyle posts. On average, her posts receive 1317 likes and she is predicted to earn between $495 and $825 per post on the photogenic platform.

On YouTube, Ms Eliza has 91,000 subscribers and earns an estimated $211 per video.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, RoryEliza would make a minimum of $3886.

4. Harry Tate

Followers: 5.35 million

Estimated earnings: at least $4660 per post across all three platforms

With his flamboyant outfits, wild hair and enthusiastic dance moves, Harry Tate seems made for TikTok. The Vibe King, as he’s known, had found success on the platform with fun videos of him dancing in public.

The Vibe King has more than 4.8 million followers on TikTok and receives an average of 52,000 likes per video. It is estimated the Sydney man makes between $2880 and $4800 per post.

On Instagram, Mr Tate has a fanbase of 549,000 followers who show their appreciation for his posts with an average of 27,030 likes per post. According to estimates, The Vibe King makes between $1641 and $2736 per Instagram post.

Although Mr Tate joined YouTube in 2012, his longer videos didn’t garner the cult following he found on TikTok and he amassed a relatively small fanbase of 5890 subscribers. It is estimated he makes $139 per video on the platform, but his posts are few and far between.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, The Vibe King would make a minimum of $4660.

3. Alex Apollonov

Estimated earnings: $7704 per post across all three platforms

One of the highest earning social media influencers is also one who seems to have the most fun. Alex Apollonov has created a hit YouTube channel which blends comedy, current affairs investigations, and a lot of wacky homemade creations.

Mr Apollonov’s I Did A Thing has a large fan base of 2.15 million subscribers for its diverse content, which sometimes features collaborations with notable comedic acts like Aunty Donna and The Chaser.

Videos on I Did A Thing have an average engagement rate of 325,040 engagements per video and it is estimated Mr Apollonov makes $7704 per video.

I Did A Thing also has a linked Patreon page, which allows fans to donate directly to help fund better videos and receive better access to extra footage.

2. Ash Hodgkinson

Followers: 8.12 million

Estimated earnings: at least $9218 per post across all three platforms

Ash Hodgkinson has the magic touch on social media as well as in his videos, which is obvious as he continues to gather a strong following online. The Sydney teen magician and entertainer started as a busker on the city streets but now he has literally written the book on magic for his millions of fans.

Ash Magic, as he’s known, has 6.6 million followers on TikTok with an average of 9,100 likes per video. It’s estimated he makes between $3960 and $6660 per post on the platform – a far cry from his humble beginnings.

The 19-year-old has 1.29 million subscribers on YouTube who love his magic tutorial videos with an average of 4250 engagements per video. Mr Hodgkinson has raked in over 1.2 billion views since he joined the platform in 2014 and he is estimated to make $4584 per video.

Ash Magic is also popular on Instagram, with more than 226,000 followers. His photos, which show less magic and more selfies, average 2692 likes on the platform. It’s estimated Mr Hodgkinson makes between $674 and $1,123 per post on Instagram.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, Ash Magic would earn a minimum of $9218.

Followers: 29.6 million

Estimated earnings: at least $22,774 per post across all three platforms

The highest earning social media influencer in NSW is Central Coast gaming sensation Lannan Eacott.

Known as LazarBeam, the 26-year-old has been heralded as one of the biggest content creators on YouTube in recent years. LazarBeam has the third-most subscribed channel and the third-most viewed YouTube channel in Australia, although he shares his content with his millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram as well.

LazarBeam has 19.2 million subscribers on YouTube and 246,650 average engagements with his videos, which usually feature Fortnite gaming, video game commentaries, and comedic takes. With over 7.7 billion views on his channel since he joined the platform in 2015, Eacott earns an estimated $13,087 per video on YouTube.

On TikTok, he has a strong fanbase of eight million followers who are super engaged with his content, with an average of 754,500 likes per video. For a post on TikTok, LazarBeam is estimated to make between $4741 and $7902.

Although his following on Instagram is comparatively lower at 2.4 million followers, the former tradie receives an average of 304,792 likes per post. According to estimates, Eacott makes between $4946 and $8243 per post on the platform, but most of his feed features silly and sweet photos of his life rather than gaming content.

With one post across each of the three social media platforms, LazarBeam would earn a minimum of $22,774.
