Some have seen their businesses take off – others have secured record deals, brand endorsements and managers through their success on the social media platform.

These are the top 20 TikTok stars in NSW – and how they made it big with their fans.

RORY ELIZA – 4.4 MILLION FOLLOWERS

Teen social media sensation Rory Eliza is one of Australia’s biggest TikTok stars. The Newcastle influencer’s content consists of her takes on viral memes, everyday videos and Australian-themed comedy.

HARRY TATE – 4.2 MILLION FOLLOWERS

Harry Tate’s TikTok persona The Vibe King is an outlandish, singing, dancing character with the aesthetic energy of a zoomer Napoleon Dynamite. The Vibe King’s content mostly consists of his everyday exploits and light comedic content – such as flapping about in a matching cobalt polyester tracksuit in Martin Place to the sound of a 2020 hip hop track.

ZACHERY DERENIOWSKI – 1.4 MILLION FOLLOWERS

Zachery Dereniowski is known as MDMotivator on TikTok, where the self-styled life coach shares motivational content and videos about mental health strategies.

PEACH – 1.1 MILLION FOLLOWERS

Peach’s mental health content and sparkly pop music has earned her adoration from more than a million followers on TikTok.

The Sydney-based singer – who originally hails from South Australia – has secured a record deal as a result of her rising star on TikTok, where she debuted her original music inspired by past lovers, her bisexuality and her mental health struggles.

BLAKE PAVEY – 624,700 FOLLOWERS

Corowa’s Blake Pavey refers to himself as a Terminally Ill Comedian, in a frank reference to his comedy videos and his diagnosis with life-shortening genetic condition cystic fibrosis. The rural NSW teen, who has just finished high school, lights up TikTok with his sketches, characters and humorous commentaries on everyday life.

THE INSPIRED UNEMPLOYED – 608,300 FOLLOWERS

The Inspired Unemployed’s Matt Ford and Jack Steele hail from Kiama on NSW South Coast. The tradies’ traditionally Australian comedy videos and takes on viral memes have earned their devoted fan base as well as prompting major brand deals, working with companies such as Louis Vuitton, Fendi and The Iconic.

Punchbowl accounting student Ali Chebbani – known on TikTok as Chebbo – has earned his title as the CEO of burgers after transforming his occasional pop-up burger shop into a full-blown food truck sensation. His TikToks display mouth-watering visuals of his culinary creations.

SAM FRICKER – 431,300 FOLLOWERS

Young Australian diver Sam Fricker’s content alternates between his high-flying diving exploits in the pool and comedy content. Bondi Rescue lifeguard and firefighter Trent “Maxi” Maxwell has a fast-paced TikTok account that combines his firefighting exploits, insights into his lifeguard duties and snippets of his personal life – such as singing Angels by Robbie Williams with the boys.

SAMMY ROBINSON – 169,200 FOLLOWERS

Fashion and beauty influencer, YouTuber and fashion designer Sammy Robinson originally hails from Sydney’s north shore. She now commands thousands of TikTok followers tuning into to see beauty tutorials, sneak peeks at her fashion label One Mile and snippets of her daily life.

LACH MAC – 165,800 FOLLOWERS

Lachy Macintyre’s TikTok profile is all about funny observations of Australian life. His breakout video – which clocked up 9 million views – had Macintyre role-playing as different years in the past 100 years arguing about which was the worst year of all time.

JARRYD FERNANDES – 143,100 FOLLOWERS

Sydney-born Jarryd Fernandes is currently playing college basketball while studying at Iowa Wesleyan University in the United States. Mostly it seems like his TikTok is just videos of him being shirtless.
