There’s is little risk of Samantha Armytage being upstaged this week when she makes her official debut on Nine’s Today, with the original A-list co-host pulling the pin on his appearance.

Sunday Confidential can reveal TV heart-throb Rodger Corser was slated to join Armytage on the desk for her highly anticipated appearance, however, he has backed out and she will now be joined by a lesser known TV personality.

Instead, The Golden Bachelor host will take on the hosting gig with the man known as “Weatherman Dan”.

While we’re sure Nine’s self-proclaimed “weather pest” Dan Anstey is a lovely guy, he brings something somewhat different to Corser. But, who knows? This might be Anstey’s career catapulting moment. Watch out Stefanovic!

The Australian radio and television presenter has previously done weather segments for Today, appeared on the Nine Network television series ManSpace, the 7mate Stihl Timbersports Series, has hosted various radio shows across the Nova and Southern Cross Austereo networks, and has also appeared on The Project.

Armytage worked with Nine’s rival network Seven for 21 years but recently jumped ship to host their new reality dating program.
