Jasmine Yarbrough shows off sparkling ‘engagement’ ring

Despite continual denials from their camps that the Today host had popped the question, shoe designer Yarbrough showed off a giant diamond ring on her engagement finger during a lunch with friends at Woolloomooloo yesterday.

The 34-year-old Mara & Mine designer uploaded the picture of her lunching with Stefanovic and friends at Otto Ristorante to her Instagram account, with many followers then congratulating them on their engagement.

A friend of the couple also confirmed the engagement to The Daily Telegraph, adding that despite the persistent reports that the two got engaged over New Year’s in Byron Bay, the proposal was only “very new”.

“They are very happy and enjoying this special time together,” they said.

Calls to Stefanovic’s management yesterday went unanswered.

While personally Stefanovic is happy, professionally he’s also celebrating some good news. Yesterday, Today won the ratings battle over Sunrise for the first time since new co-host Georgie Gardner joined the show.

It’s not the first time Yarbrough has been spotted with a sparkler on her finger.

To mark Yarbrough’s birthday on Monday, the 43-year-old posted a photo of Yarbrough to the social media site which gave glimpses of a band on the engagement finger.

“Happy birthday beauty,” he wrote.

The two have been under public scrutiny since going public with their relationship in February last year.

The unprecedented attention follows Stefanovic’s split in September 2016 from his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, the mother of his children Jackson, 17, Ava, 11, and River, 10.

“It is one step at a time and it’s about doing whatever we do in a respectful way,” Stefanovic recently told Confidential.

Yarbrough, who is the co-founder of label Mara & Mine, recently commented that her friends and family have been “an amazing support”.
