DESPITE the recent trend in fashion for Australian brands going into voluntary administration, Jasmine Yarbrough and Tamara Ingham have made the bold and exciting move to expand their shoe label Mara & Mine.

This week the two opened their first Australian store in Paddington.

Yarbrough told The Daily Telegraph it had been a dream come true.

“We always wanted to do our own store because a lot of our customers still want to try on the shoes,” said Yarbrough, whose designs have been seen on the likes of Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne.

The brand is available in David Jones but the Sydney store stocks some of the quirkier collections, including their collaboration with LA artist Raif Adelberg and his "F*ck I Love You” trademark.

“Our customers are bold, adventurous, worldly. Very confident, with a sense a humour,” Ingham said.

Another fan of the brand is Yarbrough’s boyfriend Karl Stefanovic, who has been snapped wearing the brand and carrying the clutches.
