A lot has changed in the retail landscape in a decade, but no matter how much the tides turn and the internet takes over, people still love a shopping experience. That’s the message the Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out, now in its 10th year, strives to communicate.

The evening will take over the entire CBD, including all the large centres and more than 600 retailers, to put on a swanky evening of shopping, pampering and community.

Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann said being the event’s 10th year and the magazine’s 60th anniversary, and the city looking its best in years, this year will be the best yet.

“It reminds people, hopefully, that shopping bricks and mortar is fun and shows retailers if you put in effort and really treat shoppers like VIPs they will turn up to shop,” she told Confidential.

“People may not have ventured into the CBD because of the disruption and change, so this will hopefully remind Sydney siders what they love about the city centre.”
