Pop legend Pink has flown under the radar in Sydney over the past few days, taking in the Harbour City sights like any other tourist on holiday.
Tomorrow, though, the three-time Grammy winner will take the stage at Allianz Stadium for the first of three Sydney concerts on her massive Summer Carnival World Tour.
“Tomorrow night, the chaos returns,” the So What singer, 44, posted to Instagram on Thursday morning.
The beloved performer captioned a video montage of her life on tour, rehearsing aerial stunts in an empty stadium.
“Can’t wait to be back on stage and celebrate life with you all!!” the caption read.
The video clips show the beloved performer, dressed in a simple tracksuit, dancing, singing, and speaking to her crew members.
“What was our last show before the break? November 22nd? So it’s been a little while. I’m a feeling a little nervous,” she says in one clip as she straps up in front of an enormous disco ball. “Because that was too easy.”
Yesterday, the music star her family were spotted “being tourist dorks” in the very centre of Sydney.
They cycled around tourist hotspot Circular Quay, posing for photos outside the Sydney Opera House, after taking in the sights of Bondi Beach earlier this week.
There has been no celebrity treatment, with the megastar foregoing a private dining room to lunch on the pavement tables, outside restaurant Bills, with her husband Cary Hart and their two children Willow and Jameson.
The low-key approach could almost make us forget that this is an artist who’s sold close to four million albums in Australia play and is here to play stadiums from Melbourne to Townsville – not an ordinary mum on holiday.
Pink has set a massive new record with the Summer Carnival tour, its 20 stadium concerts the most played by any artist in Australia.
Her longtime promoter Michael Coppel told Newscorp’s Kathy McCabe that Pink is the “loud” quiet achiever of the global tour circuit.
While the media spotlight has been trained on Taylor Swift’s impending Eras Tour, he estimated that by the time the Australian leg of Summer Carnival winds up on March 23, Pink will have played to 900,000 Australians.
