The pitter-patter of yet another Burgess bub is on the way. Rabbitoh’s star Tom Burgess and his model girlfriend of two years, Tahlia Giumelli, have exclusively revealed their pregnancy news to The Daily Telegraph.

NRL Rabbitoh’s star Tom Burgess, 26, and his model girlfriend of two years, Tahlia Giumelli, 25, have exclusively revealed details of their pregnancy news to The Daily Telegraph.

“I’m 3 months along, so we’ve just hit that 13 week mark,” Giumelli said.

“I’m showing a little bit, but I don’t know if it’s just all the food I’ve been gobbling up or if it’s a Burgess baby, they are quite large kids,” the former Miss Universe Australia finalist laughed.

Admitting the pregnancy came as a “happy surprise” the pair have now digested the prospect of becoming parents and are excited to welcome their new edition in early August.

Asked whether they will find out the gender, the mum-to-be said: “I want to keep it (the gender) as a surprise, but Tom has been begging me every single day, so I think just to shut him up I’m going to find out for him and do something nice to celebrate that.”

“The doctor already knows the gender and it’s just sitting in an envelope and I’m torturing him slowly.”

Giumelli was a Miss Universe Australia finalist at last year’s national competition.

But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing with Giumelli diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum in the early stages of the pregnancy — the same severe morning sickness that Kate Middleton suffered.

“The first few months were really difficult for me, I was bedridden for most of January, especially with my Crohn’s disease and battling that … I’ve been in hospital few times with dehydration and morning sickness, but it’s all come to an end now, I’ve finally gotten over that first trimester sickness and I’m easing back into work.”

Her last modelling gig before falling pregnant was a Bras N Things Valentine’s Day campaign, which is out today.

“Obviously I’ve given Tom the gift that keeps on giving; I’ve shot Valentine’s Day campaign in amazing lingerie,” she joked.

When asked about the very public breakup of Tom’s brother and fellow Rabbitoh’s star, Sam Burgess and his wife Phoebe, Giumelli was reluctant to comment.

“I don’t really know much about what’s going on there, it’s their private lives and they have to deal with that personally and in their own time and I don’t really have anything to comment on that.”
