IT’S game on for The Voice’s newest judges who, with their teams finalised last night, are vying to knock Seal and Delta Goodrem off the winner’s podium.
At the beginning of The Voice’s blind auditions there were 100 artists and now the show’s superstar coaches have whittled that number down to just 12.
Newbie coaches Kelly Rowland and Boy George are heading into the competition’s next phase with strong performers.
Confidential has been told the competition is fierce between the judges.
Team Kelly’s finalists include Fasika Ayallew, Bojesse Pigram and Spencer Jones while Team George has Sarah Stone, Hoseah Partsch and Robin Johnson.
Partsch is an early frontrunner, with betting agencies saying the New Zealand-born Melbourne-based teenager, with his soulful delivery and humble demeanour, will win Nine’s popular sing-off.
However the 17-year-old is not getting ahead of himself. “I’ll just do my best and sing my heart out,” Partsch told Confidential.
Goodrem has Claire Howell, Judah Kelly and Tim Conlon on her side. Seal looks to take out a third title with Rennie Adams, Berni Harrison and Lucy Sugerman.
The prerecorded show is now over and the live shows start on Sunday.
But beforehand, the finalists will practise their stage presence in front of their coaches at a media event on Wednesday night.
