Veteran TV star Sally Obermeder has described herself as the ‘secret keeper’ in the new incarnation of reality show, the Real Housewives of Sydney.

Having previously turned down shows like I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! and SAS Australia, the mother of two took some convincing to sign up to the BINGE series.

“I am the keeper of the secrets,” Obermeder told The Daily Telegraph, attending the Priceline Beauty Prescription event at Doltone House.

“I am somebody who likes groups to stay together and be together.

“I like people to get along, that is just in my nature.

“Some of the girls have old history together, some have known each other a little bit and some of us are new so what you are seeing is how that unfolds, the ups and the downs and ultimately there is a lot of resolution, there is a lot of humour and there is a lot of warmth but there is some getting to know you friction that happens.”

The much anticipated season two of Real Housewives of Sydney will launch on BINGE on Tuesday with Krissy Marsh and Nicole O’Neill returning to the format. Also on the show are Caroline Gaultier, Terry Biviano, Kate Adams and Victoria Montano.

Obermeder, 50, said she turned down other reality shows in the past.

“My agent asked me if I’d do SAS, I said no. The jungle (I’m A Celeb), I said no.

Dancing With the Stars the reboot I said no because I did it the first time and I was s*** and couldn’t dance so I don’t need to do it twice,” said Obermeder, who runs wellness business, SWIISH. “Pretty much as soon as he’s said reality, I’ve said no. It took me six months to say yes. I said no originally because I only do two things, I go to work and I parent but they liked that.”

Obermeder is a breast cancer survivor and said hitting rock bottom with her health made her more appreciative of life, even when things are tough.

“That is my filter on life now for everything,” she explained. “My lens is always through waking up today and here I am – this is a win. A lot of stuff just doesn’t bother me. Not even I don’t sweat the small stuff, sometimes I don’t sweat the big stuff. That is just how I see life.”
