Influencer’s birthday reflections after fiance’s drink driving charge

Ruby Tuesday Matthews marked her 32nd birthday with a heartfelt post, following her partner’s court appearance.

Days after her fiance was charged with drink driving, influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews spoke of her “wild” year as she marked her 32nd birthday surrounded by family.

“32 is better with you,” the influencer captioned a photo with her three children.

“Grateful for my health, for love, and doing life with you,” she added, tagging fiance Shannan Dodd.

“This year has been wild, in every possible way, but through it all, family and friends has been everything,” she wrote.

“The chaos, the constant noise, the love and mess … I’m so lucky to have this crew by my side. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

The celebrations come a week after Dodd faced court over a drink driving incident near the couple’s multimillion-dollar Bangalow home.

Dodd pleaded guilty at Mullumbimby Local Court to mid-range drink driving and driving with an expired license.

He will return for sentencing on August 6 after completing the Traffic Offender Program.

Matthews appeared to enjoy her birthday weekend, admitting to being a little hangover and caught in an awkward moment involving her dachshunds.

“So, obviously I had a few drinks yesterday because it was my birthday,” she said.

“I’ve come outside and Rocket’s like: ‘Mum, the dogs are stuck together’ … and the dogs have been having sex and they’re stuck together.”

While Matthews, who has 262,000 followers on Instagram, is often candid online, she remained quiet on the day of Dodd’s court appearance.

Dodd rarely features on her feed, and Matthews has previously addressed ongoing speculation about their relationship.

“I love my kids and I am not separated,” she told fans last year. “I’m very much committed and engaged in my relationship. These things I sometimes like to keep private.”

Dodd, a former account director at Axia Office, first appeared on Matthews’ Instagram in May 2021.

The couple announced their engagement the following month and welcomed daughter Holiday in September 2022.
