TELEVISION executives at Ten are trying to find new ways to keep the ending of the Bachelorette secret with yet another of its big finales under threat of being spoiled.
In what is believed to be a first for The Bachelor or Bachelorette, Sophie Monk told Confidential she is taking herself off to Mexico while the show plays out on air, presumably to avoid the paparazzi who have snapped final couples before their official debut in the past.
Several media outlets have speculated and gossip is rife around Sydney that down-to-earth Bachelorette Monk settles on 44-year-old hotel heir Stu Laundy, an intruder who is yet to set foot on the show.
Laundy is the heir to a $500 million family fortune and would be just the sort of man to be able to join her for a poolside margarita if he was her final pick.

The speculation comes just weeks after Bachelor Matty J and Laura Byrne were papped being whisked off to a secret date days before the finale aired, with the Mail Online running the pictures and ruining the result for viewers.
The same outlet also outed Sam Frost and Sasha Mielczarek hours before the finale aired.
A Ten spokesman said The Bachelorette had been the highest rating launch for any Bachelor Australia franchise, and that there had been “ridiculous speculation”.
“There have already been a number of extraordinary, false, and ridiculous articles printed about Sophie, the Bachelors and the final result.
“Viewers do not want the show spoiled, and Network Ten will not comment on any stories printed in connection to the end result of the show,” she said.
