“I’d be open to it,” he said. “If everything lined up I wouldn’t rule it out.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone about it, it’s been pretty upsetting coming out of (the show). I was pretty devastated, but this past week having to dig it all back up again has been hard.

“Even Apollosent me photos of the show and he said ‘you can see where you’ve been crying’ and all that is making me upset. But my head space at the moment, I need to work through this again as it’s all been dug back up and feels a bit raw.”

Trethewie said he had been inundated with marriage proposals, offers for dates and people praising him for being a nice guy — even if he wasn’t enough for Monk.

“It came as a huge shock to me,” he said of his elimination. “At that point in time, I thought I’d be introducing her to my family. There hadn’t been any signs of anything amiss.

“Maybe she already knew who she was going to choose and she was protecting me by not making me go through to the end.”
