BACHELOR favourite Laura Byrne was destined to date Matty J Johnson, admitting their paths have crossed before.
The Rushcutters Bay local — and frontrunner to steal the Bachelor’s heart — told Confidential she had moved in similar Sydney circles to Matty before their small screen meeting, but the pair had never spoken before the show.
“We both live in similar areas and I had seen him before in public, but we had never exchanged a word,” Byrne said.
“The first time we spoke was on that first night.”
Byrne said she was confiding in her sister as the reality show airs her rollercoaster relationship with the Bachelor.

“My sister knows everything ... She was the only person who I spoke to while I was in the house,” Byrne said.
The jewellery designer revealed she was able to call her sister every few weeks during filming.
