Television executives courting Pip Edwards for reality series on her life

TV executives seem to think there is something about Pip Edwards, with the P.E Nation designer being sounded out by two production companies. PLUS: Who’s set to join the Real Housewives cast?

Inside Pip Edwards and Julie Bishop's close friendship

There’s something about Pip Edwards at the moment – well, so TV executives seem to think.

Sunday Confidential hears the P.E Nation designer has been sounded out by two production companies in recent months to star in TV programs.

One will be a Roxy Jacenko and Lara Worthington-style reality series, which will follow the designer and mother of one around as she carries out her day-to-day activities.

The other is a series on the Australian fashion industry which will involve a number of other local fashion names.

Confidential hears Edwards is “kind of keen” to be part of one of the shows, with talks “still happening” and “not dead in the water, yet”.

Previous reports suggest it is an international production company that has been sounding out several local personalities to film a documentary series. Apparently Vogue editorial director Edwina McCann, publicist Robyn Catinella and modelling agency Chic Management have been approached.

Reality TV involving local fashion names have received mixed results in recent years.

Fashion Bloggers, which involved Nadia Fairfax, Margaret Zhang and Kate Waterhouse, was pulled in 2014 after just one season. The 2012 series Being Lara Bingle premiered to 925,000 viewers, exceeding expectations, but also lasted one season.

Jacquie Blaze caught eye of Housewives casting agents

The Real Housewives of Sydney bosses are closer to deciding on their final cast for next season of the popular reality TV program.

Sunday Confidential hears all potential candidates have been interviewed, with the field narrowed to seven for season 3 of the Foxtel and Binge franchise.

Apparently two or three “originals” are set to get the boot, with casting agents falling in love with eastern suburbs mum Jacquie Blaze.

Coincidentally, she was photographed with fan favourites Dr Kate Adams and Terry Biviano at the Taylor Swift concert.

“She’s perfect for the show,” one insider said.

“She is interesting, wealthy and super well-connected.”
