Thor director Taika Waititi and UK pop star Rita Ora are settling into Sydney’s eastern suburbs and recently stepped out for some Christmas shopping in Bondi to support local businesses.

The couple, who arrived in Sydney earlier this month, were spotted during a low-key outing on Bondi Road last week, where they browsed through surf shops including The Critical Slide Society (TCSS).

Waititi applauded the brand’s commitment to forestry on social media, as profits from sales go towards planting forests through non-profit Greenfleet Australia.

The Hollywood filmmaker, 46, and The Voice judge, 31, are growing serious and plan on spending the Christmas holidays together Down Under after recently jetting in from Los Angeles.

They are said to be renting a $12 million harbourside home in Bellevue Hill and Waititi recently flew in his two children from a previous marriage.

The pair began secretly dating in March while Ora was filming The Voice in Sydney and Waititi was working on Thor: Love and Thunder.

In May, they made headlines when photos of Ora kissing the Academy award-winning director along with Hollywood actor Tessa Thompson went viral.

“I didn’t expect to find love in Australia, nor was I looking for it,” Ora recently told The Independent adding that she would “love to have a nice big family” one day after freezing her eggs.
