Thor director Taika Waititi and UK pop star Rita Ora attended a star-studded dinner in Woolloomooloo on Saturday night, after quietly jetting into Sydney.
The power couple were joined by Hollywood stars Russell Crowe and Vincent D’Onofrio along with filmmaker Gracie Otto — the daughter of veteran actor Barry Otto — and Ora’s sister Elena.
The small group surprised onlookers at Finger Wharf as they dined at upscale Italian eatery Otto, a favourite among Sydney powerbrokers.
Ora was taking time out from filming the latest season of The Voice to enjoy the night out with her famous pals.
The outing came just days after the celebrity-packed AACTA Awards at Sydney Opera House on Wednesday.
Crowe, Waititi and D’Onofrio all attended the ceremony, which is touted as Australia’s answer to the Oscars, and by Saturday guests were put on high alert after a food and beverage operator tested positive to Covid-19 after working at the event.
Director Baz Luhrmann, Succession star Sarah Snook and actor Rebel Wilson were also in attendance.
Wilson was granted a quarantine exemption after jetting into Sydney from Los Angeles on Monday and was therefore able to attend the awards ceremony.
Ora and Waititi first sparked talk of their romance in Sydney in April before they sparked online headlines globally when they were snapped canoodling with Thor actress Tessa Thompson a month later.
