Sydney socialites get wild in the dark for PR maven’s birthday

It was the soiree Sydney’s it crowd fought to score an invite to - and a week on the details of the dark, dangerous and decadent birthday bash are still being talked about.

The theme was dark, dangerous and decadent, but by the sounds of things, “debaucherous” should have been added to that list.

Maree Andrews’ exorbitant 40th birthday took place last weekend and has since been branded one of the wildest parties to have ever taken place in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The vibe was dark, the food and drinks were decadent and the outfits were, according to many guests, dangerous.

Nipples were being flashed left, right and centre, guests were being knocked over by oversized outfits and one guest got a little too excited and had to be carried out by other guests early in the night.

Andrews was dressed in a barely-there, custom Black Swan-style dress with a miniature piece of material covering her left breast.

The Silver Party Committee chair’s guests – including designers Terry Biviano, Pip Edwards and Tamie Ingham, publicist Sophie Curtis, model Simone Holtznagel, eyebrow artist Kristin Fisher, chef Guillaume Brahimi, power couple John and Amber Symond, former NRL player Anthony Minichiello, influencers Chris Kontos, Sarah Lew, Nadia Fairfax, Lou O’Neil and Deborah Symond O’Neil – all opted for equally as racy attire.

The ‘Chateau M’ venue was complete with black Bentleys surrounding the room and men in goat masks greeting guests on arrival.
