All appears to be happy families in the Aitken household.
After months of headlines over their very public split, Sydney socialites Ellie and Charlie Aitken have been enjoying a luxury holiday in Italy with their two young children.
Ellie has shared a series of happy snaps to social media of the luxury holiday with business class flights and time on a superyacht in Capri.
This week, the family celebrated son William’s ninth birthday.
“Belated happy 9th birthday to the happiest, most loving (and most car obsessed!) boy I know,” Aitken wrote on Instagram.
“You light up every room you walk into, we adore you Will.”
In one of the birthday snaps, Will and his dad are wearing matching blue T-shirts on the boat.
Daughter Olivia too has been in the proud mum’s social feed.
“Me and my favourite girl in the world, my Liv,” Ellie wrote, her mother, Celia, also travelling with the group.
“I am so lucky to be your mum you beautiful, hardworking and achieving girl.”
A week before travelling, Ellie was spotted at Cole Hair in Double Bay wearing her engagement and wedding rings.
It comes after many months of speculation about Ellie and Charlie’s relationship.
They split last year when he began dating Ellie’s best friend, Hollie Nasser, the wife of investment banker Charlie’s business partner, Christopher.
In May this year it was confirmed Charlie and Hollie had officially split.
“With regards to my private life; my focus is my daughters, I have chosen not to be in a relationship,” Hollie told The Sunday Telegraph at the time.
“Chris has always been a loving and devoted father. We are working together to co-parent our children. The past nine months have been very difficult and I have expressed my apologies to my family and others involved.”
