HIGH profile Sydneysiders have been quick to congratulate Merivale tycoon Justin Hemmes on the birth of his second daughter.

After posting an Instagram story of the as-yet-unnamed baby on Saturday, Hemmes yesterday uploaded a video of his 18-month-old daughter Alexa giggling as she met her new sister.

“The first time Xa met her baby sister ... my heart melted. Her nervous little laugh and ever so gentle touch,” wrote the bar tsar turned family man.

Celebrity chef Guillaume Brahimi was among the first to offer his well wishes to Hemmes and partner Kate Fowler.

“Congratulations so special!!!” he wrote.

TV presenter Sussan Mourad joined in, writing “Heart melt! Congratulations Jus to you and your gorgeous family!!”

Sneaky Sound System’s Angus McDonald, himself a new father, joined in the chorus of congrats.

“Amazing” he wrote.

Once described as “Sydney’s ultimate playboy”, Hemmes has become the ultimate family man.

“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” he said earlier this year.
