MERIVALE bar tsar Justin Hemmes and his stunning partner Kate Fowler are expecting their second child — a baby girl due later this year.
The Sydney glamour couple have told family and friends the exciting news, which will see their firstborn daughter, one-year-old Alexa, become a big sister.
“We are elated to be welcoming another child into our family,” 44-year-old Hemmes said yesterday.
The New-Zealand born Fowler, a former model who is currently studying architecture, recently told online website Moda Familia how motherhood has changed the lives of her and her partner of 2½ years.
“It has changed completely and utterly,” said 26-year-old Fowler, who is the daughter of professional golfer Peter “Chook” Fowler.
“It has been a crazy but wonderful whirlwind. There are the obvious adjustments — less sleep, and it definitely takes longer to get out the door these days — but you soon realise that those things couldn’t matter less.
“Alexa gives us so much back and brings the purest joy.”
She also gushed about the life lessons their toddler had taught them and the values and morals they plan to instil in their growing little girl.
“The wonder in Alexa’s eyes when she see’s something new is ridiculously infectious — she’s taught me to marvel and delight in the smallest of things,” she said.
“Then, in terms of values, kindness first and foremost. Hard work and self-belief are up there too. I think we are the sort of parents who will go by feel, there’s really no map. I’m sure she will guide us and vice versa.”
