No break-up blues for styled up influencer Kath Ebbs

Aussie activist and influencer Kath Ebbs has rocked a bold and confident new look following their public split with American singer and dancer JoJo Siwa.

Kath Ebbs is looking confident following their public break-up with JoJo Siwa.

While Ebbs is no stranger to photo shoots, this latest set is strikingly different.

With a quirky edge, the influencer took to social media with a bold and unrecognisable look.

Ebbs sported an eye-catching wig with short layers framing their face, while the rest of the hair cascaded down to their waist.

The 27-year-old paired the dramatic wig with a lace long-sleeve top, plaid mini skirt, and finished the outfit with knee-high black boots.

Though the photos were taken a week before their very public split from the child star, on Wednesday they shared the look for the first time.

Followers and fellow influencers quickly flooded the comment section with praise.

“I love you, you are f***** beautiful,” wrote wellness influencer Katie Williams.

“Wow,” commented Anna McEvoy.

Mitch Greer added, “YESSSS it’s a farkennnn yes from me, chook.”

The bold photos come in the wake of Siwa’s rumoured romance with Chris Hughes, sparked during her time on Celebrity Big Brother.

Ebbs confirmed their break-up in a heartfelt Instagram video last month, where they opened up about the “shock” after Siwa abruptly ended their relationship at the Celebrity Big Brother UK afterparty.

INFLUENCER RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA AFTER CONTROVERSY

TikTok star Anna Paul has returned to Australia after “fleeing the country” following a dramatic fallout with her ex sister-in-law Mikaela Testa.

On Thursday, the popular vlogger, once dubbed “Australia’s most popular influencer”, shared a photo on Instagram of herself and her dad, smiling and reunited.

Paul tagged her location as Australia, marking her return after three months abroad.

Paul’s return comes after she publicly opened up about her mental health struggles amid bombshell allegations made by Testa, who accused Paul of a series of issues, including claims that her father was homeless.

Testa, 24, who was in a relationship with Paul’s brother Atis for two years before their split in May 2023, also criticised Paul’s controversial cash giveaway for her paying subscribers.

Paul denied the allegations.

Her response video, however, which has been viewed over 23 million times since it was shared on February 3, fell flat with fans, with almost 1 million unfollowing the star across TikTok and Instagram in the aftermath of Testa’s claims.

During her time away, Paul spent several months in the US, posting vlogs from LA, Coachella, and Stagecoach. Despite her overseas travels, the influencer continued to cop heat on social media.

“I aspire to be this level of unbothered,” a user commented on her TikTok vlog.

“Uhhh uhh sis. We aren’t brushing everything under the carpet again,” wrote another.

“Wish I could escape my problems overseas,” said another user.

Before the fallout with Testa, Paul had 7.2 million followers on TikTok, but her following has since dropped to 6.1 million.

STAGGERING AMOUNT ALBO’S EXPENSES HAVE COST TAXPAYERS THIS YEAR

The Prime Minister had been travelling the country campaigning well before the election was called – and that exercise doesn’t come cheap.

New data released on Wednesday from the Independent Parliamentary Budget Authority shows Anthony Albanese slugged taxpayers more than $1 million in expenses in the first three months of this year.

The PM’s COMCAR bill between January and March 2025 was $54,000 – including individual trips in Perth and Brisbane worth $2000 each. Government chauffeurs are charged at $2.17 per minute.

Travel for Mr Albanese’s staff was the largest part of the overall bill, totalling $660,000 in three months.

His eight-day overseas trip in November as part of APEC and the G20, which included stops in Brazil, Chile and Peru, cost taxpayers $164,000.

Mr Albanese also claimed almost $5000 for a personal vehicle in the January to March quarter, including charging fees for an electric car.

All of these expenses were within the rules – with MPs required to justify their travel “represents value for money” and “is for the dominant purpose of parliamentary business.”

MP’S BAD HABIT

It is widely known that politicians love a media announcement — all except Corrections Minister Anoulack Chanthivong who is beginning to make a habit of being late to his own press conferences.

Mr Chanthivong stood up Premier Chris Minns and the Corrective Services Commissioner Gary McCahon on Tuesday morning to address the media about his own reform of the NSW Victims’ register.

The Premier shrugged off his absent colleague and started the press conference without him. Mr Chanthivong snuck in around the side nearly 10 minutes later.

It turns out that this was the second time Mr Chanthivong had missed the start of his own press conference.

Unleashed recommends that Mr Chanthivong try to leave the house earlier in the morning, if only to beat the traffic from his home in Macquarie Fields.

TRUMP FOR POLICE COMMISSIONER?

The race is on to be Police Commissioner and officers across the state are desperate to know who will be taking over from Karen Webb.

Within hours of her announcing her retirement, some were tossing up left-of-field possibilities, including none other than US President Donald Trump.

An artificial intelligence-generated photo of “the Donald” in a NSW Police Commissioner’s outfit – and those all too controversial hats – began doing the rounds on Wednesday afternoon.

It came days after Trump shared an AI image of himself as the pope in what he stated was a “joke” and that you “have to have a little fun”.

That image showed Trump wearing a traditional Catholic mitre, cross and white cassock, apparently showing himself as the pontiff as the College of Cardinals were getting ready to elect a new Holy Father following the passing of Pope Frances in April.

Meanwhile, in Sydney, others speculating on Webb’s replacement as NSW Police Commissioner turned to the advanced technologies of Chat GPT for some assistance in figuring out who their next boss may be.

The results were as follows: Mal Lanyon, widely considered to be the front runner, was the number one pick, followed by Deputy Commissioner Dave Hudson, who is also thought of as a strong contender, however the third suggestion was one from left field.

The head of the Raptor Squad, Superintendent Andrew Koutsoufis, was Chat GPT’s third choice, which if it is to occur would require him to jump ahead of five Deputy Commissioners and 20 odd Assistant Commissioners to claim the top job.

MAYOR BACKS A WINNER

Long-serving Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone is making a habit of backing winners.

A Labor councillor from 2008, he became Mayor in 2012, then went Independent in 2016 and still held on to the top job despite Labor attempts to unseat him. Carbone found an ally leading into those elections in another councillor, Dai Le.

Six years later Carbone backed Le in running as an Independent against former NSW Premier Kristina Keneally for the Federal seat of Fowler in Sydney’s southwest. It was until then a safe Labor hold.

But the high-profile Keneally was parachuted in and lost, with Le becoming the first Vietnamese Australian to be elected to the Federal Parliament.

Le is currently deputy mayor to Carbone at Fairfield Council and on Saturday he was handing out her how to vote flyers at polling centres across the electorate. Despite a Labor Party advertising cash splash, Le won again.

“There is a lack of enthusiasm for both major parties,” he told The Daily Telegraph. “People are suffering, doing it tough. A lot of people have lost faith, but there’s a lot of support for Dai, and people out here do like the locals.

“She’s genuine and passionate, that’s why I’ve supported her. It’s important for our local community to have someone that loves the people and loves the area.”

AUSSIE STARS SILENT ON TRUMP’S TARIFFS

The silence has been truly deafening from the Australian stars who wield the most power in Hollywood over US President Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs on the international film industry.

Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth, Margot Robbie, Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe, Sarah Snook have been eerily quiet on the controversial issue that many have stated could decimate the Australian film industry.

Earlier this week, Trump announced via social media his intention to impose 100 per cent tariffs for all films produced in “foreign lands” as he said the ailing US industry would be better served by “movies made in America”.

MYLES SMITH’S BIGGEST GIG YET

This English singer is gearing up for the biggest gig of his life, but first he is diving deep into our footy rules.

Myles Smith, known for his hit song Stargazer, is set to tour with Ed Sheeran at the end of May.

But for now, the 26-year-old is visiting Australia for the first time and joined the Sydney Swans for an AFL training session on Thursday.

“I feel like I was born for the sport in another life, “ Smith told Confidential.

“I’ve only seen bits and bobs on TV — it looks intense. But it’s such a cool sport, and I’m just happy to be here soaking it all in.”

Smith will perform at the Hordern Pavilion on Friday, next door to the Swans’ SCG headquarters.

Despite accumulating over two billion streams globally, the 26-year-old remains humble about his rise.

“I know if I were to fall off the music cliff tomorrow, I could download LinkedIn and be back in an office by Monday,” he said.

“It was definitely scary to quit my job and pursue music but once I got started, it was more exciting.” Before music, Smith studied sociology and social policy and had his own business.

Touring for 18 months straight has left him “a bit homesick”, but the Australian welcome has made a lasting impression.

“Everyone is so happy here,” Smith said. “It’s just been really nice to come somewhere you could feel the sense of community the moment that you walk in and it’s just really nice to be part of that.”
