GET ready to watch Sophie Monk fall deeply and madly in love.
Fans will get their first look at the single actor, singer and radio personality as our new Bachelorette when the first promos for the show rolls out on Channel 10 this week.
Set to the tune of iconic Queen song Find Somebody To Love the promo vows to do just that for the 37-year-old as she walks past a couple kissing and another getting engaged, lamenting she doesn’t have a partner of her own.
While Monk has lived large in Hollywood and dated A-listers including Jason Statham, Benji Madden, Ryan Seacrest, Kevin Connolly and Sam Worthington in the past, Monk says her Hollywood lifestyle came at a cost.
“Living in LA for ten years, I’ve dated high profile people like actors and rock stars,” she said, “but that’s not at all what I’ve been looking for.
“I’m so lucky to do what I do, don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful. But the one thing I think you do sacrifice is a really healthy, good relationship.”
Monk says she is so “vulnerable and real” on the show that she already has reservations about how she will come across.
“I hope I don’t look like a goose,” she added.
