Sydney socialite Hollie Nasser has “a beautiful life” – and says it has everything to do with her new “best girlfriends” and man.
The 38-year-old mother of two – who was at the centre of one of Sydney society’s highest profile love trysts and marriage bust-ups in recent history – confirmed yesterday that she’s been in a relationship with eastern suburbs IT company managing director Marshal de Saxe for more than a year.
“One of our very good mutual friends set us up,” Nasser told The Daily Telegraph, joking that “you know that they’re safe when friends verify them.”
The Saxons IT director was identified only as “a sandy-haired gentleman” when he attended the Derby Day celebrations with Nasser last November. The pair were photographed inside the G.H Mumm marquee inside the Birdcage.
“We had a strong connection straight from the start,” she said. “Yes, we’re still going really strong. He’s just a very good person.”
She and de Saxe recently celebrated his 50th birthday with a party at his house in Mosman. “He’s very smart, very kind, and all my girlfriends love him, which is good,” Nasser said.
The happy couple have been spotted at a handful of industry events together in the past year, including the Australian Open, the Virgin Voyages Sydney launch party, and travelled to Los Angeles with friends for Coachella in April, but have largely stayed out of the limelight.
Two years after her high-profile split with investment banker Charlie Aitken, the psychologist said she’s well and truly “moved on” from the circles she used to run in and has never been happier.
She lives in the affluent harbourside suburb of Rose Bay with her two daughters aged 6 and 4, after selling the Paddington terrace that she remortgaged in 2023 after her divorce from their father, Christopher Nasser. “I’ve got my kids pretty much full-time so they’re most of my life,” she said.
“I’m in a very happy place now. It was a horrific few years and they were definitely hard, but I think I’ve come out the other side a lot stronger and happier,” Nasser told The Daily Telegraph.
“I’ve got a beautiful life. I’ve got beautiful kids, beautiful friends, a beautiful partner.”
Nasser’s two best friends are Sky News presenter Erin Molan and publicist Jana Hocking, whom she recently stepped out with at the Mercedes-Benz Women in Business lunch.
She met Molan through their children, who had an after-school playdate and became inseparable. “Erin and I have known each other for two years now because we’ve got girls the same age,” she said.
“We just clicked and have seen each other all the time since and Erin introduced me to Jana.”
“Hollie and I met at an Italian restaurant,” Molan said. We were both there alone with our children who decided to fall in love with each other, we then decided to follow suit. I’ve known Jana for a few years through work.
“They are both far cooler and more social than I am, so on the rare occasion I’m not working or mothering I adore their company.”
“As a single mum, it’s so nice to have people around you who understand...and from the second I met Hollie I knew she was kind, caring, and so fun. I feel very blessed having a small group of girlfriends around me who I can ride the highs and lows with...,” the 2Day FM radio host continued. “...and who have a healthy appetite for champagne.”
“We’re all quite similar, just fun and easygoing, and here to support each other,” Nasser added. “I can just be myself around them and I know they’re going to be friends for life.”
Hocking said the bond is “all about love, support, and non-stop chit chat.”
