In Sydney’s eastern suburbs, the social scene is a masterclass in interconnectedness — where six degrees of separation often collapses into one.
A surge in divorces, back to back 50ths at the usual hot spots and mutual acquaintances has meant that a number of new romances have blossomed in recent weeks.
We revealed in February that popular eastern suburbs couple Nicholas and Litsa Stavropoulos had ended their marriage.
Confidential also revealed their close friends Pembe and Deniz Bekir had called it quits on their long term union.
And then we also broke the news that Nick had turned to Pembe for support after his marriage breakdown.
Now, it seems that some of the newly-single parties have moved on.
Rumours are rife that something is going on between Deniz Bekir and Litsa’s good friend, wellness entrepreneur and Laser Clinics Australia Double Bay branch owner Linda Rogan.
While others have shut the rumours down, saying the pair were just good friends and are enjoying spending time together, images posted to social media at the weekend of the pair living it up suggested otherwise.
Meanwhile Litsa too has since moved on, seen out and about with a man whose identity we are yet to confirm.
Judging from images shared on social media this week, the duo appear to be an item.
It was also revealed this week that artist Dina Broadhurst’s property developer ex Max Shepherd is now dating popular former Kambala student turned influencer, Hannah Waites.
Waites was dating Highland Double Bay director and one of Sydney’s most eligible bachelors David Malouf.
Malouf is the real estate agent who recently sold Shepherd and Broadhurst’s Darling Point apartment.
According to those close to Shepherd, the eligible bachelor is “the happiest he has been in a long time” with Waites, who they describe as a “a super sweet girl.”
Yet there’s also been some prime real estate moves to coincide with the eastern suburbs marriage breakdowns.
The Bekir family home was recently sold, marking the end of Pembe and Deniz’s union.
The couple sold their Bangalla Rd, Rose Bay home two weeks ago for on undisclosed amount with the help of The Rubenstein Group. The newly renovated three-bed, two-and-a-half bath, three-car home had been on the market since late March, and is believed to have been sold to its new owners for more than $8 million.
The Bekirs purchased the luxury abode in March 2022 for just over $7 million.
Cae Thomas was the agent enlisted to sell the home and did it without his longtime sidekick, Jye Emdur, who has transitioned into a finance job.
