Sam Burgess’ baby mama’s secret UK popstar past revealed

Sam Burgess is set to become a dad again with fiancee Lucy Graham. Confidential can reveal Graham’s pop star past.

Long before the words most likely to follow Lucy Graham’s name when you googled her were “Sam Burgess” and “baby mama”, the British fashionista was a popstar playing stadium gigs.

Confidential can reveal Graham was once a member of UK pop outfit The Ultra Girls, alongside bandmates Laura Henderson, Lauren Green and Amy Burrow.

Graham is now engaged to rugby league great Burgess, with the pair expecting their first child together.

It was in 2009 that Graham and her gal pals competed on the sixth season of The X Factor there, failing to make it through to the live finals when judge Louis Walsh chose Jedward over The Ultra Girls.

This column’s J.Mo actually had a brief interaction with the group when they supported Kylie Minogue at London’s O2 Arena for the UK leg of her Aphrodite World Tour in 2011.

In April that year, The Ultra Girls released debut single Girls Will Be Girls. Unfortunately the track didn’t take off and the group disbanded.

At the time, the group were being compared to the Spice Girls and were even styled by Kenny Ho, one of the creatives behind the Spice Up Your Life singers.

The Spice Girls, of course, split many years earlier in the year 2000 after selling more than 75 million albums.

“Being compared to the Spice Girls is just a massive compliment,” Graham said. “They were a successful girl group having fun.”

Graham met her pals when they were all cheerleaders for Leeds Rhinos rugby league team.

Years earlier, as teenagers around the age of 15, Graham and Burgess met growing up in Leeds.

The pair are now happily engaged and expecting their first child together over the coming weeks.

Burgess is already a dad to two young kids from his previous marriage.

Graham, 34, went on to work in fashion and beauty and is a trained hairdresser.
