Sam and Phoebe Burgess take a break before baby brings chaos

BEFORE the chaos and sleeplessness of having their first baby Sam and Phoebe Burgess have taken a ‘Babymoon’ on Hayman Island.

FIRST comes love, then comes marriage … but everyone knows before the baby comes the babymoon!

And what a babymoon it is for rugby league star Sam Burgess and his wife Phoebe, both 27, who announced they are expecting their first child in July.

The loved-up duo who married in December last year, is currently relaxing in Queensland’s Hayman Island in a trip that’s all about soaking up the sun, riding in helicopters and drinking from coconuts ahead of the arrival of their bub.

“Fresh ride for a little break. Bring on the sunshine,” Sam posted to Instagram alongside a fresh-faced picture of the pair by a breathtaking harbour.

Well and truly in holiday mode, Phoebe joked, “We’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts ...,” as she showed off her tiny bump in a bikini.

The couple are undoubtedly looking forward to parenthood, with Phoebe gushing a few weeks ago how excited she is to see her hubby become a dad.

“Sam loves kids,” she told Confidential. “He plays like a child with them. We sit around and it is always Sam who is holding or playing with a child. He’ll be a natural dad for sure.”
