FOOTBALLER Sam Burgess has joined Sydney’s elite — the Bentley boys club, which counts among its number Kyle Sandilands, John Laws and John Singleton.
The South Sydney NRL star is driving a new red Continental GT model Bentley, the must-have accessory for alpha males the world over including David Beckham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert Downey Jr.
Burgess yesterday took the new two-door car out for a spin in leafy Woollahra, keeping the monster twin turbo engine in check with some careful, slow driving as befits a soon-to-be first-time father.
The man mountain proved hard for Woollahra shoppers to miss, the new red car proving almost as attention-grabbing as the loud stereo — turned up very high — with Burgess a merry sight as he bounced along to his favourite party hits.
Burgess could have had something of a dilemma choosing the finish on his new ride.
It comes in red and a wondrous iridescent green, but not both together.
Also driving a new Bentley last month was $5 million shock jock Sandilands, who has a chunky new Mulsanne, worth a smidgen more at $310,000 standard.
