When Lara Jean Marshall met her current boyfriend, one of the first things he told her was that when he was a kid he had a crush on an actor who looked just like her.
Marshall blushed and told him his instincts were right — she was in fact the woman who played Lisa on The Saddle Club some 18 years ago.
“He was like a nervous wreck. I don’t think he knows what to do with himself,” she said.
Marshall was 12 when she landed the role of Lisa Atwood on the children’s drama.
She still works in the business and has been based in Los Angeles and Vancouver for the past few years. But having returned to Australia a month ago, she has been working on several scripts.
“I still have fans who follow me,” Marshall said. “Saddle Club keeps on replaying all over the world so there are new fans coming through.”
