WHILE insider trader husband Oliver Curtis languishes in a jail cell, PR queen Roxy Jacenko is enjoying the festive season break on the beaches of Waikiki.

The Sweaty Betty principal flew out of Sydney for Hawaii on Boxing Day with the couple’s children — Pixie, 5, and Hunter, 2.

The family of three is staying at the luxurious Royal Hawaiian Hotel — known locally as the Pink Palace — where rooms start at $689 a night.

Boasting a fine-dining beachfront restaurant where Jacenko can enjoy a $381 New Year’s Eve set menu, the up-market accommodation is a far cry from hubby Curtis’ festivities at Cooma Correctional Centre.

Inmates dined on a jailhouse Christmas menu of chicken maryland or spinach ricotta burgers, ham, diced potato, mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce and gravy plus a fruit mince pie for lunch.

For Christmas dinner, Curtis was offered the choice of devil wing salad, five bean salad or pasta salad, plus corn, tomato and Christmas cake.

It was a lonely Christmas Day for the disgraced former private school boy, with corrective services forbidding visitors that day. Prison regulations also meant the convicted fraudster was locked in his cell at 3.30pm, where he ate his Yuletide meal in solitude.

Jacenko, who has previously chartered a private plane to visit her husband, told The Daily Telegraph earlier this month that she saw her husband in the lead-up to the festive season.

The family of three enjoyed a luxurious holiday.

“I visited ahead of Christmas with my mother, Doreen,” she said.

The bleak Christmas Day at the prison, which has also housed HIH Insurance conman Brad Cooper, paedophile priest Vince Ryan and hotelier turned murderer Andrew Kalajzich, is a stark contrast from Curtis’ previous opulent celebrations.

It was Christmas Day in 2010 when Curtis proposed to Jacenko.
