ROXY Jacenko caved in to ex-boyfriend Nabil Gazal Jr’s advances while her husband Oliver Curtis was in jail, sparking up a relationship with the millionaire over several months.
Sydney’s PR queen revealed exclusively to The Saturday Telegraph that “Jr” reached out to her days after her breast cancer diagnosis and the pair rekindled their romance as she endured the “toughest time of her life”.
After dismissing photos of her kissing her former flame as “a mistake”, Ms Jacenko has come clean on the depths of her romance with the real estate mogul.
“Yes, there was a relationship and I am not going to deny it,” Ms Jacenko said.
“He was someone who was familiar to me. I was in a very bad place. Yes, we were together. You have to remember, my husband went to jail, my marriage was not intact, I had breast cancer and a friend, at the time, reached out.
“I was in my most vulnerable state. It was the toughest time of my life. He was the one who reached out to me.”
The Saturday Telegraph understands Mr Gazal was spending several nights a week with Ms Jacenko while Mr Curtis was in jail.
The relationship ended days before Mr Curtis’s release from Cooma Prison, when Ms Jacenko and Mr Gazal had a huge fight and she returned a heart-shaped ring he had given her.
Jacenko said her relationship with Curtis, now working with his father at E-Nome, is better than ever.
“Everything which happened has made me realise how much I love Oli. He’s a great guy, a great dad and a great husband,” she said.
Ms Jacenko said yesterday she had a breakdown in May as the pressure of her relationship and health issues became too much.
“I basically lost my marbles,” she said. “I crashed my car, I took my children to my parents-in-law and forgot they were there ... A doctor came to me, it was that bad. I cannot remember four days of my life.”
Yesterday Ms Jacenko was seated inches from Mr Gazal’s mother Maud at Public House Management Group’s Ladies Lunch at Bistro Moncur.
The pair did not speak but Mr Gazal’s sister Nicole, who went to school at Kambala with Ms Jacenko, was cordial, complementing the businesswoman on her $80,000 Paspaley necklace.
