A war of words erupted between Roxy Jacenko and one of her clients on Monday night with both pointing the finger at each other.
Anthony Hess claims Jacenko launched into an ugly spray as he and his business partner attempted to leave The Ivy before her event officially kicked off around 7.15pm.
Jacenko, however, claims it was Hess who was “abusive” and used “inappropriate and vulgar language” and that security removed him from the premises.

Merivale, owner of the Ivy, said no one was, in fact, escorted off the premises that evening.
“She came at me like a steam train,” Hess told Confidential. “It was just so unnecessary. She kept saying, ‘where is the respect?’.”
Hess said he and his business partner, named Lena, left the venue before the event started after another guest levelled homophobic slurs towards him.
Tickets for the Sparkling White Smile Presents In Conversation with Roxy Jacenko were priced between $232.09 and $520.84.
Lena bought the tickets as she and Hess were fans of Jacenko’s work.
“The situation was handled terribly,” said Hess, who shared his experience on social media.
Jacenko’s husband Oliver Curtis, who spent a year in jail for insider trading, is understood to have attempted to mediate the situation.
“We were really excited about the event and it all turned out to be a disaster,” Hess said. “Oliver was really nice, actually.”
In her version of events Jacenko claimed Hess had been “disruptive, aggressive and drew unnecessary attention to himself”.
Jacenko’s representative said Hess “verbally abused Ms Jacenko as she attempted to make her entry” despite Jacenko’s attempts to diffuse the situation.
Hess’s business partner recalled Jacenko screaming at him.
“She screamed a lot of stuff, saying we would never make it in Sydney,” Lena said.
