UNLIKE rapper Iggy Azalea, actor Rose Byrne is still proud to call Australia home — even if it is only for a few months.
Byrne is back to star with the Sydney Theatre Company and is looking forward to showing her family — US actor partner Bobby Cannavale and their nine-month-old son Rocco — the city she grew up in.
The A-list couple slipped quietly into town earlier this month and made a rare public appearance at the GQ Awards — where Azalea was also honoured — this week.
Byrne said: “It is so lovely being back. We are just enjoying it so much being home with the family and friends.”
Cannavale said Rocco would celebrate his first Christmas with Byrne’s family: “It’s been great to be here with our son.”
Their enthusiasm is a far cry from Azalea, who has declared: “I don’t miss Australia.”
