Channel 10 scored a package deal when they signed on Robert Irwin to helm I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! alongside Julia Morris.
Confidential can reveal the entire Irwin clan will be accompanying the wildlife warrior to the South African jungle early this year, as he replaces TV veteran Chris Brown in the hosting seat.
“I’ve got everyone, including my little niece Grace, coming over, so the whole family are there,” Irwin told Confidential. “It’s fun.”
“Literally the entire Irwin family are coming over.
“(Girlfriend) Rorie’s coming over. Everyone.”
Irwin, who turned 20 in December, appeared as a guest on the show back in 2016 with mum Terri, and sister Bindi.
This time around, Bindi’s husband Chandler Powell, their two-year-old daughter, and Robert’s girlfriend Rorie Buckey will also be in tow.
I’m A Celebrity, which films in South Africa, heralds Irwin’s debut gig as host, making him the youngest top talent on local TV.
He is rumoured to have been offered a $500,000 deal for the upcoming six-week filming gig, a salary bosses of the struggling network were reportedly more than willing to pay.
Morris, for her part, is reportedly on around $700,000 for the reality series, which she began hosting in 2015.
“Mate, the prep is in full force,” Irwin said. “We’re only a couple months away and I’m really excited.”
“With Julia, the prep is pretty laid-back. It’s as loose and hilarious as you would ever imagine.
“Now it’s about getting the word out, and getting everyone keen for it.
“I’m also making sure my family are ready to come to Africa with me.”
Although Irwin screen tested against some of the biggest names in the media industry, there is little doubt about the X-factor that landed him the gig.
As the youngest child of late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin, he’s been a national treasure since he was born in 2003.
Carrying on his father’s legacy at Australia Zoo has earned him a global fan base, particularly in the all-important millennial market, which is increasingly difficult to lure to prime-time viewing.
With this latest news, it seems Ten got four Irwins, and their partners, for the price of one.
