Home and Away star Luke Jacobz reveals why he cancelled his wedding

Home and Away star Luke Jacobz has shared his pain over cancelling his wedding to Raychel Stuart.

Luke Jacobz was supposed to marry the love of his life today.

But like a long list of those before him, in the crazy year that’s been 2020; he’s had to call it off due to the pandemic.

Expressing his grief on Wednesday to Instagram, the Aussie actor apologised to his fiancé Raychel Stuart for not being able to tie the knot today.

“I love you Raychel. I’m sorry it’s not today. I’m sorry it’s not tomorrow,” he said.

“But it WILL BE!!

“I know we haven’t had our amazing wedding just yet, but to me, from today, you are my wife ...”

Jacobz returned from the US for a role in Home and Away.

Jacobz relocated from Los Angeles to reprise his former role on Home and Away in Sydney, after an almost 10-year break from the popular soap.

Ms Stuart is still in the US and has been unable leave and reunite with her fiancé because of border restrictions.

“This year has been incredibly difficult for us because we haven’t seen each other since 22nd January — 294 Days or 7,055+hrs,” Jacobz wrote to Instagram.

“Which is 423,400+ minutes since I have held her hand, brushed the hair back over her ear, looked into her eyes, made her coffee, picked her up and hugged her, slapped her butt, slow danced with her, made her breakfast in bed …”

He said that, for the couple, this year had been “harder than Thor’s hammer” but “no matter where we are, on this Earth — I will do my best to be Her Starlord until the end of time.”

Jacobz is also known to Australian audiences for winning Dancing With The Stars, hosting two seasons of The X-Factor and appearing on Mcleod’s Daughters in it’s final three seasons.
