Not three months after her daughter’s wedding, it seems horse trainer Shari-Lea Hitchcock has fallen out with her new son-in-law.
Hitchcock’s daughter with late cardboard mogul Richard Pratt, lawyer Paula Pratt, married Westpac portfolio manager partner Nassib Thoumi in a lavish wedding at Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church in Watsons Bay in February.
This week, Hitchcock took to social media to vent her frustration about her son-in-law but has since removed the posts from Facebook.
“The … man my daughter married can’t even spell my name right,” she wrote.
The post included a snapshot of what looked to be a text exchange between Hitchcock and Thoumi regarding her horse, Boy George.
The text message read: “Hi Shary, Just a reminder. Please have your horse removed off the property by Friday. The locks will be changed on Friday. You will not be granted access to the grounds after that. It will be removed if it is found on the property.”
A further post referenced Hitchcock’s cats Goldie and Silvie, asking her followers if anyone in Watson’s Bay had seen them.
That post was also removed later.
Hitchcock would not comment when contacted while Thoumi was also unavailable.
Born in 1997, Pratt, the product of the Melbourne billionaire’s 18-year-long relationship with Hitchcock, reportedly won a settlement from her late father’s estate worth millions.
The cardboard king died in 2009 and was ranked the fourth richest person in Australia with a worth of $5.48 billion.
He had three adult children to wife Jeanne Pratt – Anthony Pratt, Heloise Waislitz and Fiona Geminder.
Paula grew up in Sydney’s east and studied finance at Sydney University.
She and Nassib are understood to have met while studying.
