ROXY Jacenko was so keen to make sure she got enough Insta-worthy shots at Wharf4Ward yesterday that she took the extraordinary step of hiring her own paparazzo to attend the event with her.
Jacenko’s photographer told Confidential he wasn’t present at the event to take photos of the big name guests, but rather he had been hired exclusively by Jacenko to shoot her and her pack of 10 photogenic guests alone.
And there was plenty of content to shoot with Jacenko unaware she was bidding against her convicted insider-trading husband Oliver Curtis for one of the big ticket charity auction items, eventually paying $10,500.
Just days after telling Confidential she was “grateful” for the paparazzi’s role in raising her profile, the newly-pink haired PR queen said she hired the photographer for the day “to create content” for her guests.
“By having him with us we can share the content on our Instagram rather than sitting there on our phones the whole day taking selfies,” Jacenko said.
“I am hosting a table of clients so I wanted to give them some memories to take home. I always like to go the extra mile.”
The 37-year-old, whose Instagram following has exploded to almost 200,000 said she doesn’t “normally” roll with a pap in tow, but content creation was crucial to her business.
Jacenko, who attended with husband Oliver Curtis, said we would also be seeing more of her publicity-shy husband.
“It’s nice to have him here and it’s important for him to be out and get back into normal life,” she said, referencing his recent 12-month stint in jail.
