Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic’s wedding may have hogged the headlines, but there was another glitzy nuptials that flew under the radar.
Sydney publicist Montarna McDonald tied the knot with her longtime partner Nick Pitt at the exclusive Redleaf Wollombi country retreat last weekend, and it was a lesson in how to throw a classy affair, without travelling to party hotspot, Los Cabos.
Many wedding guests were forced to choose between the fashion PR’s event and the Stefanovic affair, with the Mexican destination clearly putting a few of the invitees off.

Harpers Bazaar fashion editor Caroline Tran and blogger Nadia Fairfax were invited to McDonald and Yarbrough’s weddings, both choosing to watch their long-time girlfriend Montarna tie the knot.
However siblings Tammie, Katie and mother Mary Ingam chose to attend the Stefanovic’s Los Cabos affair, while their brother Jonny was a groomsman at the McDonald/Pitt nuptials.
As for the outfits, while Yarbrough opted for a polarising long-sleeved, mini J. Andreatta dress, McDonald went for a traditional look in a dramatic Inbal Dror gown, rumoured to be worth around $17,000.
Fairfax summed up McDonald’s well-planned event saying: “I am truly speechless. A total class act, and to be honest I wouldn’t have expected anything less from the Duke and Duchess of Paddington.”
Both parties offered questionable snacks to their guests — the Stefanovics served Burger Rings and Bundy and Coke and the Pitt’s offered up 100 Big Macs, 100 cheeseburgers and 100 chicken nuggets from McDonald’s on the dance floor.
The Stefanovics’ “star-studded” bash — which was given the hashtag #letsgetfizzykarl — was attended by former foreign minister Julie Bishop and Nine personalities Richard Wilkins and Sylvia Jeffreys, while Fox Sports reporter Lara Pitt, Dragons player Jason Nightingale and Bart Cummins’ grandson Eddie Cummings were among the high-profile guests who made their way to Woolombi for the #LoveYouToPitts nuptials.
The Stefanovics threw a Studio 54 recovery bash, which saw Karl sport an afro and Jasmine thigh-high boots and a racy sheer white dress, while McDonald went for a high-end look in Dolce and Gabbana the day after her wedding, which was also held at the sprawling property.
The PR maven hired Mr and Mrs Pitt branded carts which served coffee and bacon and egg rolls, served with Perrier Jouet champagne, Aperol sprtizs, bellinis and Peronis while Audi race week DJ Jeremy Lloyd spun some tunes.
