After leaving Summer Bay a year ago, Pia Miller is taking her away game to Hollywood — via the Gold Coast.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal the 35-year-old has landed a starring role in the live-action film version of kids’ cartoon Dora The Explorer, alongside Eva Longoria.
Miller is playing “Mami”, Diego’s mum, Dora’s aunt and sister to Longoria’s character. The movie has just wrapped its Gold Coast shoot.

“(I) can confirm Pia Miller as Diego’s mother in the film. Diego was played by Jeffrey Wahlberg,” a production spokesman said yesterday.
Miller had hinted as much on the GQ Men Of The Year black carpet last week, but was tight-lipped on details.
“I have been shooting in Queensland on a feature film,” Miller said.
“The creative process, whether it comes in the medium of film or TV, I don’t mind which one I do.”
However, she did say that taking the job meant a rethink of her plans with businessman fiance Tyson Mullane.
“There was a time where we knew exactly what we wanted to do and when and where, but then I got this job then Tyson’s been doing his thing with his business, so we will come back to that. We will wait until the perfect time,” Miller said.
Miller’s manager would not comment on the role or what her future plans were.
