Model Elyse Knowles’ spelling mistake goes global on Instagram

Proving that 2020 has all become a bit crazy, Elyse Knowles has made global news because of a spelling mistake.
It comes after an old story she posted to Instagram in August resurfaced on Twitter this week.
In the photo she wrote “Wallah” instead of what most assumed was meant to be “Voila.”
The pile-on that’s followed has been extraordinary, with people bombarding the comments section of her Instagram feed with “Wallah.”
The alleged typo has garnered international attention, with American satirical page The Fat Jewish sharing the picture with his 10 million followers.
“Spending an unhealthy amount of time thinking about how this influencer spelled ‘Voila’,” he wrote.
Confidential has reached out to Knowles for a comment on the matter but had not received a response at the time of publication.
It comes as an event Knowles hosted on Thursday in Byron Bay has come under fire for lacking diversity on its guest list.
Fashion brand Seed Heritage held an influencer brunch at Beach Byron Bay to show off its summer collection.
Fans of the brand however pointed out the lack of diversity at the event in the pictures posted to its Instagram, with most guests being blonde haired with fair skin. “Were any women of other cultural backgrounds included in your event,” mr.barker24 wrote, while mzdonsel added “Exactly my thought … doesn’t exactly represent the Australian population! I love Seed so this disappoints me.”
Confidential has contacted Seed Heritage for comment.
Miranda Kerr moves into Hunter Valley estate
Miranda Kerr has moved in to the Hunter Valley estate she bought for $7.5m earlier this year.
The Australian supermodel and her billionaire American partner Evan Spiegel are understood to be living at Loggerheads Estate, which they bought from QT Hotels.
The 87ha (215-acre) Pokolbin property boasts its own vineyard, seven-bedroom mansion with an additional summer home, swimming pool, orchard, dairy and wine storage shed.
The couple is believed to have bought the estate after falling in love with it as guests on previous visits from the United States.
Kerr is a former Gunnedah girl whose family live in the Hunter area.
She moved home for an extended holiday with children Flynn, Hart and Myles earlier this year
Melissa feels right at home
It seems we will be seeing a lot more of Melissa McCarthy Down Under.
The Hollywood star is understood to be having so much fun shooting Nicole Kidman series Nine Perfect Strangers in Byron Bay that she’s looking to do her next project here too.
McCarthy will star in Netflix comedy series God’s Favorite Idiot, created by her husband Ben Falcone. The production will mark the couple’s sixth collaboration.
“They just love it in Australia and absolutely want to make the series here,” a production source told Confidential.
“With everything going on in the US right now, the pandemic is out of control, they want to stay here.”
Netflix would not comment.
The 16-episode series will tell the story of mid-level technical support employee Clark Thompson (Falcone), who finds love with a co-worker at the same time he receives a message from God.
Falcone and McCarthy, who helm production company On The Day, have worked together on films The Boss, Tammy, Thunder Force, Life Of The Party and Superintelligence.
They also briefly worked together on Bridesmaids.
