House hunting is on the agenda for Bachelor couple Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska as the couple look to take their relationship to the next level.
Settling in Gilbert’s home town of Perth, the reality stars are looking to buy a home together in 2021 and say marriage is also on the cards.
“We want to spend the rest of our lives together, we will get married eventually,” Gilbert told Confidential.
“There has been a lot of talk. Obviously we have talked about it but we are just happy spending the time together with Christmas coming up. We are extremely happy together. I have never wanted to say soulmate or anything like that but when I look at Irena, she is definitely my soulmate.”
In September, Gilbert chose Srbinovska over Bella Varelis in the reality show finale.
The couple are living in a serviced apartment in Fremantle before they look to buy.
Houses, marriage and babies aside, the first priority for the couple is to travel with border restrictions eased.
“It has been amazing, we get along even better outside of the show,” Gilbert said, promoting Vistaprint’s Radical Acts of Thoughtfullness holiday campaign. “We are completely opposites of each other but that works very well. We want to travel together and see Australia together as much as we can before we settle down.”
They’re ready to go straight after New Year.
“We’ve got everything we need – fridge, solar panels, bed, bikes, kayaks, everything possible. We are going to get our adventure on around Australia.”
Srbinovska worked as a nurse in Melbourne before packing up her life and moving to Western Australia to be with Gilbert.
For Christmas, they will spend the festive period with his family.
“It is the first Christmas for Irena away from her family so it is going to be a bit sad but she is going to meet all of my family so that is going to be good,” he said. “I am not a big Christmas, Easter, New Year’s kind of person but it is going to be massive. We went out and bought all of the decorations last weekend. I need to step up my game because Irena is the best present giver I have ever met.”
