Michael Clarke’s exes ‘avoid each other’ at Derby Day after party, Clarke meets one at another party

Pip Edwards and Jade Yarbrough have proved the fallout from the Noosa fracas isn’t over, with the pair publicly avoiding each other at an official Derby Day after-party.
Michael Clarke’s efforts to win Yarbrough back with a European holiday in September appear to have stuck.
While the former Australian cricket captain wasn’t at the event, Confidential hears Yarbrough met up with him “in a romantic way” at celeb hot spot, Bar Bambi later on in the night.
Yarbrough and her then partner, Clarke, made national headlines in January when their emotionally-charged carpark stoush in the tourist town was recorded by a bystander and obtained by The Daily Telegraph.
In the clip, Yarbrough could be heard accusing Clarke of “f**king” Edwards, who he dated between mid-2020 and late-2021, “on December 17”.
At the time, Edwards – who is the co-founder of Australian activewear brand P.E Nation -distanced herself from the public spat, saying: “This is not my circus. Yet again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to.”
However, after attending the first event of the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington on Saturday, both women ended up at the same after-party at the city’s Beverly Rooftop to celebrate Tequila Don Julio 1942.
Following a quick outfit change, guests including Pip Edwards, Nadia Bartel, Erin Holland, Jade Yarbrough, Lana Wilkinson, Andy Allen, Dylan Alcott, Montana Cox and Kate Peck partied on well into the night at the Melbourne event, which signalled the start of Spring Racing.
Confidential understands the pair “kept to separate sides of the room”, and “made a conscious effort to steer clear” of one another, with onlookers describing the public encounter as “awkward”.
The celebration was headlined by Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke and Grammy-nominated Cut Copy’s Dan Whitford.
It marked the second time Edwards and Yarbrough had been in the same room at the same time following the notorious Noosa brawl.
While last time they were spotted together they were seen laughing and mingling, this time their encounter was a little frostier, with spies claiming the pair were “dancing around each other all night to avoid any run ins.”
“There was a close call with them almost back to back on the dance floor - but their crews kept them pretty separate.
“Jade was with the Sydney crew: Montana Cox, Tom McKeown and Dina Broadhurst and newlyweds Billy Mitchell and Michael Porter.”
Sydney artist and socialite Broadhurst. was also part of the crew Yarbrough and Clarke holidayed with earlier this year.
“Meanwhile Pip was hanging out with the Melbourne crew: Nadia Bartel, Em Gurr, Lana Wilkinson, Erin Holland.”
The lavish event saw some of the biggest star attendees from Derby Day head to the bar following a day of racing, to kick on the celebrations.
Edwards was among the select few at the exclusive “invite only” party, opting to wear a black dress after ditching her unique trackside outfit inside the LANDMARK by Lexus marquee inside the Birdcage.
When the margaritas stopped flowing after 9.30pm, a source told Confidential all the attendees split off with “their different friendship groups” to kick on.
Yarbrough and Clake discretely met up at late night lounge Bar Bambi.
“Jade and Michael were not standing directly next to each other, there was a staircase between them, but they were interacting and talking a lot in a romantic way,” an onlooker said.
“There’s definitely stuff going on between them. It was obvious this wasn’t two exes interacting.”
The trio made headlines earlier this year following a now infamous Noosa brawl involving Clarke’s current girlfriend Yarbrough.
