Martha Stewart’s Vivid visit not up to scratch
Renowned lifestyle guru Martha Stewart’s trip to Sydney wasn’t quite up to her high standards. It’s alleged the American cook had a few complaints about her time here. HERE’S WHY.

To hear Martha Stewart tell it, one of the world’s most liveable cities might be more intolerable than a cinderblock cell in an American prison camp.
Confidential has been regaled with claims regarding the former US jailmate’s recent trip to Sydney, where she spoke at the ICC Sydney.
The event was one of the big headline spots of Vivid, which is running currently in our fair city.
Word from insiders is that Stewart was unhappy with Sydney Airport as it was “too big” and she had to walk too far.
How quickly she has seemingly forgotten her 1.5m by 2.7m two-person bunk bed cell from America’s Alderson Federal Prison Camp, where she spent five months for charges related to an insider trading probe.
Also, Confidential was told Stewart, 83, was unhappy that the window tinting on her transport vehicle was not dark enough for her liking.
Oh dear, how uncomfortable.
Perhaps this is something Stewart should address with NSW Premier Chris Minns, as the government legislates limits on window tinting to 35 per cent on the front windows and 20 per cent on the rear.
The clincher for this column though was Stewart’s dissatisfaction with the audiovisual resources at the state-of-the-art venue that cost $1.5 billion to construct and has hosted the likes of Cher, Ariana Grande, Kylie Minogue and Elton John.
Apparently the original home and lifestyle influencer was displeased with having to hold a microphone for the entirety of her talk, which was a long way off being sold out.
Some members in the audience allegedly questioned the venue on why Stewart was holding a microphone for the more than 90 minutes she was on stage.
The reason we hear for the handheld microphone was allegedly Stewart’s refusal to wear a headset, which is standard practice in such celebrity talks, due to concerns it would ruin her hair.
Likewise, an industry standard lapel microphone was also said to have been rejected for fear it would damage her jacket.
Now, Martha, we really are very sorry that our backwater didn’t provide.
Given the state of the US at the moment, it is indeed alarming to hear the sixth most liveable city in the world didn’t live up to the standards expected by the octogenarian.
