MARRIED At First Sight wife Cheryl Maitland has revealed twins Michelle and Sharon Marsh “picked on” her during the filming of the series.
The 25-year-old hairdresser, who was involved in an explosive showdown with her TV partner Andrew Jones last night, has now opened up about what happened behind the scenes.
“My motives were the same as everyone else’s,” she told New Weekly.
“I feel like nothing exciting was happening (on the show) and (the twins) needed some drama so they decided to pick on me.”
Cheryl said the comments may have been to protect Andrew’s feelings after he was publicly dumped by his first wife Lauren, a day after their wedding.
“They made a few comments because they didn’t want him to get hurt, but it was all taken too far,” she said.
“I felt like everything they were saying about my reasons for being here were wrong.
“Aren’t we all here for a relationship? I don’t need to prove to (them) why I’m here.”
